The Lüsner Alm is South Tyrol's longest high alpine pasture and is located above the Sonnwies in the alpine pasture area. The gentle, lovely alpine landscape with a wonderful view of the Dolomites is the ideal destination for family excursions. You can stop for a bite to eat in one of the numerous huts. Villnöss und Puez Geisler
The postcard motif of South Tyrol, i.e., the village of St. Magdalena in the Villnöss Valley is located at the foot of the Puez Geisler Nature Park. From Sonnwies via the Würzjoch you can reach this scenery in no time. The valley offers dreamlike panoramas and high-quality alpine huts with excellent cuisine.

The small medieval bishop's town has a lot to offer. Shopping, arcaded cafés, the Domplatz - the largest open square in Tyrol, sights such as the cathedral and cloisters, the nativity scene museum, and the pharmacy museum.

Braies lake
A breathtaking mountain lake at the foot of the Dolomites. The Braies Wildssee in Braies is a spectacular walking experience. The location is a unique natural phenomenon. Old wooden boats can be borrowed to explore the small mountain lake. Plan a full day for this excursion, as it takes longer to get there but is definitely worth seeing. The South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with Ötzi in Bolzano
The Man of the Similaun is worth a visit. The Ötzi Museum in Bolzano also shows you the first city of South Tyrol. Even though Bolzano has almost 100,000 inhabitants, it has maintained its flair. The southern air under the Tyrolean arcades, a brilliant mixture of north and south, of Italian and German. Definitely to be recommended: a visit to Ötzi at the archaeological museum.
