DOLOMITES

Between Alpine peaks and the Dolomites

Lüsen is ideally situated for excursions. In the middle of South Tyrol, far south of the main Alpine ridge and in the middle of the Eisacktal Dolomites. From here you can quickly reach all excursion destinations in South Tyrol, North Tyrol or Trentino, the towns of Brixen, Bozen, Sterzing, the apple plateau of Natz Schabs.

At the foot of the Unesco World Natural Heritage Dolomites

Lüsen - and thus the Sonnwies - is located at the foot of the Dolomites, 10 minutes by car from the Würzjoch, 15 minutes by car from the mighty Peitlerkofel. The Dolomites have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. For the alpinist and first climber of all 14 eight-thousanders Reinhold Messner, the Dolomites are "the most beautiful mountains in the world" and for many the hiking and holiday region par excellence. Their impressive beauty and diversity inspire everyone who has ever discovered them or even just had a glimpse of them.
