There used to be a century-old farm here, today it is our farm and our luxury hotel for families. The outstanding local natural circumstances make our place unique. Formerly mountain farmers, today hosts with passion. Growing up on our mountain farm, we Hintereggers are strongly connected to nature and the rural values of South Tyrol. We live this connection as a host family and have been making it tangible for our guests for more than 20 years. We know our roots. As a family, it is very important to us to combine the beauty and power of our unique surroundings with the service of a tradition-conscious but cosmopolitan luxury family hotel and to offer our guests a special time out. However, we do not go our way alone, but together with more than 80 employees, farmers, craftsmen, suppliers and many more. The Sonnwies is situated on a spacious mountain meadow in Lüsen with a southern exposure and a wonderful view of the South Tyrolean mountains at the foot of the magnificent backdrop of the Dolomites, a "UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site". The outstanding location in nature makes our place unique. Sun-drenched, sheltered from the wind, pure spring water, good mountain air and plenty of space around the resort. The hotel offers extensive grounds with its own farm and ski lift directly at the resort. The Lüsner Alm (the longest high alpine pasture in South Tyrol) towers above the resort. From the vines at the entrance to the village to the bizarre Dolomites, you can experience everything here. The mild climate and more than 300 days of sunshine make Lüsen the ideal retreat for families. You can reach the starting points for the most beautiful family hikes on the Lüsner Alm, the Dolomites in the Puez Geisler Nature Park with the Peitlerkofel, the town of Brixen with many small shops and great sights and the Plose ski area in no time.

The real star in the Sonnwies
Ferdi, the brown pony with the blue South Tyrolean apron, is our hotel mascot and at the same time a seal of quality for our family hotel. He is nice, in a good mood, wears the typical blue South Tyrolean "Schurz" that the old farmers in South Tyrol still have and stands for our offer. Because Ferdi loves to play with children, he likes to be in the children's club. Ferdi shows children the way to Kinderland and the swimming pool, he also likes to watch them swim. There are lots of Ferdi pictures hanging in the children's sauna.
