Altitude meters

Sonnwies Dolomites is located at 1,150 m above sea level in the mild Lüsner Valley. The place at the foot of the Dolomites counts about 300 sunny days a year. The extensive recreation and hiking area of the Lüsner Alm is one of the longest high plateaus in Europe and is located at 1,900 m above sea level.

Baby and child care

Our kidsclub is open 7 days a week. For children from 3 years we offer the following hours of care:
Monday to Friday: 9:30 am - 9 pm
Saturday: 12 - 9 pm
Sunday: 5 - 9 pm

Baby and toddler care for children up to 3 years:
Monday through Friday: 9 am - 2:30 pm & 4 pm - 9 pm
Saturday: 1 - 9 pm

Lunch and dinner can be taken by the children during the childcare hours. All children's activities can be found in the weekly program at the reception. As a nature-oriented family hotel, it is very important for us to spend as much time as possible in nature or in the barn of our own organic farm. Children under the age of three can only participate in the excursions if accompanied by a parent.

Babyphone and babylook

1. Pick up the handset from the phone and dial #1 to access the "Babylook" service.
2. Select the desired language: button 1 GERMAN, button 2 ITALIAN, button 3 ENGLISH.
3. Enter the cell phone number to be called in the event of an alarm and confirm with #.
Note: A 0 must be dialed before the phone number, e.g.: 0 0049 ...
4. put the handset NEXT to the phone and leave the room within 10 seconds.
5. monitoring becomes active - acoustic signal tone.
When a noise exceeds a certain noise level, the preset number is called and put through directly to the room. At the same time, an email notification goes to the hotel staff.
ATTENTION: After each occurred alarm, "Babylook" must be activated again to use the service again.

Bathrobes

The bathrobes for adults and children are in your room and are included in the price (but property of the hotel). We draw your attention to the fact that the bathrobes are changed only for a fee of €5.

Bicycles Rental

You can rent mountain bikes directly at the hotel. We also offer a selection of bicycles for our little guests. To keep you safe, you can also rent bicycle helmets.

Bathtowel change

Towels are always changed when you put them in the bath or shower.

Birthday

If someone of your family has birthday during your stay, we will be happy to help you create an especially beautiful day. A special experience is the Farmers Birthday in the manufactory. Information is available at the reception.

Buggy and back carryiers

Buggies and back carriers are available for rent at the Info Point - each for a deposit of €200.

Brixen

Brixen is a picturesque, historic bishop's town with many sights, ideally suited for strolling and shopping. Brixen can be reached from Lüsen by car in about 15 - 20 minutes. The stores are open from 9.30 - 12 pm and from 3 - 7 pm.

Car rental service

At Sonnwies you have the possibility to rent a Mercedes Vito for a fee (from €350 per day). The car offers space for up to 9 people. You are welcome to reserve the car before arrival.

Check Out

On the day of departure we ask you to vacate the rooms by 10:30 am.

Late Check Out

You are welcome to stay longer in the hotel (max. until 5 pm) for a flat rate of €99 per family, to use the whole hotel offer and to help yourself at the lunch buffet as well as at the cake buffet.

Late Check Out with room

With this option you can also use your room to the hotel facilities if it is still available 1 day before departure. The price is to be calculated according to the season. If you are interested, please contact the reception.

Climbing hall

Children from 6 years can conquer our climbing wall. The exact times and climbing dates can be found in the current weekly program. If your children want to and are allowed to use the climbing hall WITHOUT accompaniment, we ask you to sign a disclaimer in the KidsClub. A member of the childcare staff will then explain the safety system in the hall to your child.

Culinary

Sonnwies Family Nature Culinary combines child-friendly catering and enjoyment at the highest level for the whole family. In the morning, at noon, in the afternoon and in the evening, our chefs use fresh and seasonal ingredients from the region and our own organic farm, depending on the possibility. The Family Nature Culinary is included in your stay at Sonnwies. In addition, there is a fine selection of à la carte dishes and culinary experiences that can be taken advantage of at any time for an additional charge.

Dog

We are very pleased that we can also welcome your four-legged darling in our house. However, since we are a family hotel, the number of dogs is limited. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, on the recreational lawn and the playgrounds. Your dog is welcome to stay in our lobby and on the terrace. For your dog we charge €40 per day as well as a final cleaning fee of €150 for suites from 60 sqm and €300 for suites from 100 sqm. We ask for your understanding that we have to be liable for damages in the room.

E-Bikes

In our in-house Bike Rental we offer mountain e-bikes for adults and children, and bike child trailers for rent. You are welcome to personally choose, reserve and pay directly at the bike rental.

To make your stay perfect, we also fulfill special wishes.
Would you like to send a flower greeting to your loved one? Please let the reception know the day before until 5 pm.

Farm

From 8 am to 9 pm you can visit our animals in the barn and in the paddock. The barn is not freely accessible and we ask you not to feed the animals. As part of the children's entertainment, the animals are fed and the children can help in the barn. From Monday to Sunday the children can also go pony riding once a day with the childcare. All activities and times are included in the children's weekly program.

Gym

Modern fitness equipment and Technogym® devices are at your disposal daily from 6 am - 8 pm. At the same time you have a wonderful view of our garden. The fitness room is exclusively for adults!

Garbage separation

Our environment and landscape is close to our hearts, therefore we ask our guests to separate the garbage and have provided own containers for plastic, glass and paper in the corridors of the rooms. Special buckets for diapers are also available on the balconies.

At the entrance to the village of Lüsen there is a gas station, a car wash and a garage.

Hiking and excursions

Information and suggestions for hikes and excursions are available at the Info Point. Hiking poles, baby carriages and backpacks are available for rent there. In summer we organize three times a week different guided hikes to not everyday places.
In winter we organize guided snowshoe hikes once a week.

Ice skating in winter

In winter, our hotel's own ice skating rink in the heart of the resort, is a highlight for young and old. We rent all sizes of skates at the price of €4 for 4 hours. With your own skates the use of the ice rink is free of charge.

Laundry service and tea

On the 1st floor is our "Wash and Cook", which is open 24 hours. Here you can wash, dry and iron for a fee of €5 per washing machine. You are also welcome to use our internal laundry service at a cost of €9 per garment (pants or shirt). Dresses on request. A wash cycle with a maximum of five kilos costs €49 (please note colors | fabrics). Here you will also find a small tea kitchen to warm and disinfect bottles and the possibility to prepare tea.

Location

Lüsen is a small community in South Tyrol in the Dolomites. The mountain village is located about 20 minutes by car from the former bishop's town of Bressanone. The Sonnwies is located in the district of Rungg, which in turn is about 1.5 km from the center of Lüsen. The hotel is enthroned in the midst of nature at the head of the valley in a sunny southern position and is one of the places with the most hours of sunshine in South Tyrol.

Minibar

For safety reasons of the children, the minibar is not filled. If you would like to have your minibar filled, we will be very happy to take your orders by phone at extension 9.

Newspapers

If you would like to read your own newspaper, we will be happy to order it for you during your stay.

Night entrance

Through the parking lot entrances you can get into the house with your room card 24 hours a day.

Parking, luggage service and valet parking

During your stay free parking is available in our underground garage. The garage has a ceiling height of 2.70 m and offers oversized comfortable parking spaces. We will gladly take care of your luggage upon arrival and departure. For a pleasant check-in we offer you the possibility to park your car in a parking space in our garage by our porter. For a clean car there is a washing facility on the first floor of our garage, where you can wash and clean your car for a fee (from €25 depending on the duration).

Payment methods

You can pay with Visa, Master Card, Eurocard or in cash (according to Italian law up to a maximum of €4,999). You can also pay by bank transfer, but the amount must have been received on our account before departure. Checks, Diners and American Express cards are not accepted.

Pools and water worlds

Our indoor and outdoor pools are open daily from 7:30 am - 7:30 pm. Please note that the facility is not supervised by us. The pool facilities and slides are video monitored. The water temperature in our indoor family pool is 31°C, in our outdoor pool, which is heated all year round, it is 33°C, children's and baby pools have a temperature of about 35 to 36°C. The aqua park including slides has a water temperature of 33°C.

Room

You must have been pleased with the clean and neat room. We attach great importance to the fact that you sleep healthy and well! Our rooms are made of untreated mountain spruce and Swiss stone pine. Studies have proven that the smell of wood promotes particularly peaceful sleep. We therefore ask you to handle the wood as carefully as if it were your own room. Please make sure that your children do not paint the furniture and the couch or smear it with greasy and dirty fingers. Chocolate, wine and grease stains (chips, salty pastries, etc.) can only be cleaned to a limited extent. We are sorry if we have to charge for damaged furniture or items. Thank you for your help and understanding.

Room Card

With your room card you can get not only to your room, but also to the swimming pool, sauna and through the garage entrances to the hotel. Please put the room card in the designated holder in the room next to the door to turn on the power in the room. For safety reasons, children are given a room card only from the age of 10.

Room Cleaning

Our housekeeping team cleans the rooms between 9 am - 2 pm. Evening cleaning takes place on request between 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Please contact the reception. If you prefer a different time, please let us know at the reception.

Room Service

We are happy to serve you drinks or a plate meal to your room for an extra charge of €15 per order. If you wish the complete dinner served to your room, we charge €160 per room (up to five people). For breakfast in the room we have different offers from €130 with an advance reservation the night before until 8 pm.

Skislope and skipass

Directly at the resort is everything for a special winter experience at the foot of the Dolomites. Two minutes walk from the hotel is the 900 m long ski lift with practice slope, which is open daily from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
The ski pass for the whole family is included and can be obtained at the InfoPoint. Our free hotel shuttle takes all experienced ski pros to the Plose ski area. In less than 20 minutes you are at the valley station of the Plose cable car.

Skirental and skischool

In our Ski Rental with the latest equipment for the whole family, you will find everything for your perfect ski day. The hotel's own Ski School offers ski lessons for all ages. You are welcome to register your children for professional ski lessons directly at the hotel.

Skiroom and outdoor room

In our Ski Room we offer a ski cellar with modern heated lockers and integrated boot dryer for every family. At the water bar you can fill up your drinking bottles.

SPA opening hours

Our sauna areas are open from 2 - 7 pm (in case of bad weather from 11 am). The two Adults Only relaxation areas close at 7:30 pm. The children's sauna opens at 2 pm. Treatments and treatments can be booked at the reception.

Smoking

Smoking is forbidden in the whole hotel and in the rooms according to the Italian law.

Stamps

You can get stamps at the reception. We give the letters or postcards to be sent directly to our letter carrier. Since we unfortunately cannot include the stamps in the room bill, we ask you to pay for them in cash at the reception.

Swimming course

Swimming courses are offered weekly at the hotel. You can book a group or private course at our reception (group course from €35 per hour and private course from €60 per hour). For the duration of the swimming course, swimming aids are provided free of charge.

Tobogangging in winter

You are welcome to rent a high quality sled from us for a deposit of €200 at the Info Point.

Teenielounge

Our teenielounge is only for teens and therefore only for kids over 10 years old. Here our teens can chill out daily from 9:30 am - 10:30 pm. The entrance is outside the main building and you need the room key.
