Hiking paradise in the Dolomites
Luesen is a small mountain village with 1,500 inhabitants 12 km above the episcopal city of Brixen in the heart of South Tyrol. It is idyllically and quietly located in the middle of lush meadows and dark spruce forests. Here you can experience everything: from the vines at the entrance of the village, up to the bizarre Dolomites. The mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine makes Luesen to the ideal vacation place for families. The family hotel Sonnwies is located on the sunny side of the mountains, at 1.5 km above the center of Luesen in the small hamlet of Rungg at 1,150 meters above sea level. Just behind the family hotel there is "Sorgenhof" the organic farm with its petting zoo and ponies for horse riding. The family hotel is surrounded by beautiful meadows and forests.
