Behind the Sonnwies is a long history - naturally grown from a simple B&B to a premium family retreat with organic farm. We have always been passionate about welcoming guests to share what we experience every day with families from all over the world. In order to convey our lifestyle, marked by many farming traditions, as authentically as possible, we have always been inspired by nature. There are some principles that are deeply rooted in our family and that we reflect on in every decision.

Surrounded by untouched nature, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites, meadows, forests and alpine pastures we grew up. Countless memories and experiences make this place unique for us, a true place of strength and retreat. At Sonnwies, we open our doors to families seeking peace and quiet, who care about nature just as much as we do. Our greatest concern is to preserve the functioning ecosystem and biodiversity. Nature is our greatest source of inspiration, which we preserve with appreciation.
Values as a form of expression
These values play a central role for us, as they are the basis for architecture, design and creation - our primary form of expression.

- Sustainability through longevity: renewable natural materials that last for decades
- The good is near: the immediate nature as a raw material supplier for building materials, kitchen, etc.
- Experience fire, water, light and earth: Living spaces with fireplaces, private water areas and unique mountain views.
From this we derive in all areas of the resort, living worlds, culinary, SPA, kids areas, special signature standards and concepts that reflect our philosophy of nature holistically.
Where nature is home
The Sonnwies convinces with a very clear niche positioning and appeals exclusively to families with an appreciation of nature. Our living worlds are not designed according to classic children's hotel guidelines and fast-moving trends are also not taken up. We are much more interested in designing rooms with high-quality purism. Where young and old can find peace, feel at home and take inspiration with them. We have opened the door to nature and it can unfold freely throughout the house. A combination of solid wood furniture such as larch, spruce, Swiss pine, oak as well as natural elemental textiles such as cotton, loden and linen. Natural stone from Pfitsch and the Dolomites meets handcrafted natural steel.
Simple experiences around us
We do not strive for constant growth but want to make the space we have available even more special. For this we bring natural materials, gently processed by craftsmen from the region, into our house. We are grateful to be surrounded by such a unique nature, which is a soothing experience for our guests and us and provides deceleration and relaxation. Sometimes an impressive sunset, painting in the great outdoors or fresh berries from the garden is enough to make you feel good. And that is what we value most - the power of simplicity.
