The Forest Villas are being created where the forest begins: places of arrival, tranquility, and connection. The resort continues to grow deeper into its core values: into nature, into silence, into the conscious experience of time. Here, exclusivity becomes something gentle — carried by the rhythm of the forest.

We are pleased to present some extraordinary new additions for 2026 that uniquely blend nature and well-being. The new indoor riding arena fosters a connection between people and animals, while the Forest Spa offers deep-seated rejuvenation through nature-inspired treatments. In the Forest Villas, families enjoy undisturbed privacy at the foot of the Dolomites while having access to all the resort’s amenities. Places where nature and comfort blend harmoniously.

The Sonnwies is surrounded by fascinating rock formations, lovely alpine pastures, shady forests and extensive meadows and gardens. The good things are very close and we make this original pleasure for families through the Sonnwies concept "farm to table" to experience up close.

Growing up in the idyllic landscape of Lüsen, surrounded by forests, alpine meadows and the Dolomites, our family has been closely connected to nature for generations. In addition to our homeland, we have also found a second, equally beloved home: Lake Garda.

The Florist Room opens its doors. A place that pays homage to the natural beauty and diversity of our plant world, cultivated with great care and dedication in our garden. This room invites families to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of flowers and take part in craft workshops.

Nestled amidst pristine nature, Sonnwies offers a serene retreat that remains easily accessible to families from across the globe. Skyalps, a local airline, continues to broaden its flight options, now offering direct flights from London to Bolzano starting in December. Furthermore, we are delighted to arrange personalized transfers, ensuring a seamless and stress-free beginning to your unforgettable family getaway at the base of the majestic Dolomites.

We have been welcoming families from all over the world to the Sonnwies for almost 2 decades now. We have always set ourselves the goal of constantly developing to offer our guests the best services and to cater to the special needs of young and old to perfection. In 2024 we are going one step further again: there are new highlights to experience.

First-class services in all areas are the basis, but beyond that we at Sonnwies put our main focus on offering families a unique and authentic nature experience. This includes our weekly Farm Day for families, where we revive traditions of yesteryear.

Sustainability and a conscious approach to nature are more important than ever nowadays and therefore enjoy the highest priority in our family hotel. Due to the natural location of the Sonnwies, it is a matter of the heart for us as hosts to process raw materials from the immediate vicinity.
